Gooogle 50 dollar paint job. I followed that thread and painted my offroad jeep cherokee using tremclad blue. I was more than happy with the results. That was 15 years ago. Want to repaint it again some day, using the same technique.

im ngl. im working on my car rn and the paint im using is just perfect match. not gonna worry about the paint rn i got sooo much to do. i got the interior all stripped out and im laying out sound deadening and while i have the headliner out im installing star lights with black suede

take all the paints you have on hand, mix it with a solvent of your choice and whatever else you want, throw some glitter in there for shits n giggles, whatever you do post how it looks after.

Hey man i was wondering if youve had any intermittent spark issues with your savage? Ive got a 98 ls650 that i recently got and the wiring was an absolute mess, im no electrician or mechanic but i cleaned it up a bit and rode it a few times. The bike needed bump started or jumped cause the battery it bad from a bad hotwire job. After i rewired it it ran okay at first then spark seemed to cut out after i took jumpers off it

Just buy 2 Ltrs of 2 pk. Mixed with thinner and activator it will give 2 good coats and last a fair bit of time, like 30 years+

There is way more than two hours of work left. Also dont put that paint on there. It would suck to have to strip it off if you dont loke it.

You need a long board. You also need to wipe down the whole truck and the areas where you just sanded. ESPECIALLY before you paint...

Do not mix with cardboard or wooden materials. Nonporous only. Plastic is probably the best. Looks like you are using too much hardener or it is hot inside the building. How long did it take to dry? Otherwise looks great...

For such an awesome project it's totally worth putting the time, money, and effort into the paint. If you don't actually care about it, and just want likes on social media, do it on the cheap. Heck, don't even paint it. Why even bother?

Paint the cladding off the car first, it’ll make for good practice learning your spray gun settings, i like to paint everything that can come off separately but it’s definitely time consuming. I think you should do whatever saves your sanity 😂

I was a autobody apprentice but I left the trade 9 years ago and watching you do this I was wanting to give you some pointers haha. I would suggest next time to feather your edges more when sanding the short strand. When applying the filler after you put the hardener in you only have a few minutes of work time depending on how much hardener you put in and when you went to touch it up and it started to clump its because it started to harden, after a while of working with filler you get to know when to stop and not touch it. Looks good though for not having much experience doing bodywork.

Whatever. Keep sanding and let that natural rust patina take hold
